Social Events
The Chamber of Truro organises a variety of social events throughout the year which usually are open to members, their families and friends. These may be outings like the recent boat tour on the river Fal to Falmouth enjoyed by all and sundry, an evening at at Skinners Brewery or the traditional Christmas Dinner.

First Chamber Netball Tournament a Great Day of Fun (

Truro Chamber organised its first ever Netball Tournament at Truro School on Sunday, 3rd June 2007. Despite the weather threatening to spoil matters, it stayed dry throughout. Nine teams had entered the fray enthusiastically battled it out for the inaugural Truro-Chamber of Commerce Shield.
On the day Cornwall Council was in a league of its own, demolishing everything thrown their way. They produced a very high standard of play and deservedly walked away with the perpetual shield. Runners-up honours went to Winterrule who battled on bravely in the final, however, were no match for the class of Cornwall Council.
The event was very well organised. Thanks to Alan Davis who worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the big day to ensure its success. Rob Pepper volunteered to marshall the teams, Frederick Habbe set up the draw and was responsible for recording the scores, Karina Davis and Anne Habbe did a sterling job as parking attendants. Everybody taking part is already looking forward to next year's event and a challenge has been thrown out to Cornwall Council.
